It wasn’t too too cold today (aka 30 degrees aka mild winter weather for a midwesterner), so I went out to Edgewater to take some photos of the lake after work.

I was supposed to go home after an appointment, but I wound up going to Edgewater Beach instead. It’s quiet there now. All of the boats are covered up for the season and the beach house is largely abandoned.

I hate winter. Have I mentioned that before? Because I do.

It’s supposed to snow on the 31st, and if there’s one thing I dislike, it’s snow. So I decided to go out today, while it' was clear but cold, to take some photos before the year ends.

It was a wet, mild Christmas Eve and it’ll be a wet, mild Christmas Day.

For the past three years, I’ve always taken the last two weeks off from work. For the past two years, I’ve spent those two weeks at home due to the pandemic. This year, I’m trying to enjoy my two weeks off by going outside.
